The Department of Education recently released the official calendar for school year 2019-2020. Classes will formally open on Monday, June 3, 2019, but private schools may opt to resume their classes until August 31, 2019. Classes will end on April 3, 2020.
According to the DepEd order published in their official website and on their Facebook page, the new school year will have 203 days. This is three days more than last year’s, but still within the maximum 220 class days allowed by the law.
Below is the official calendar for the upcoming school year, applicable to both public and private elementary and secondary schools nationwide. This includes holidays and school breaks, examination days, and (tentatively) scheduled special days. Note that dates may vary for private schools.
