Getting pregnant is life-changing especially when it comes to your financial status. And the biggest dent at this point in your journey will be the cost of childbirth.
Over at our Facebook group, Smart Parenting Village, it's one of the top questions new members ask. How much is normal delivery? How expensive is a Cesarian section (CS)? Many of our SP moms have shared their expenses, and we've provided a quick summary below.
Take note: The cost of childbirth depends on the hospital, the type of room you prefer, doctors’ fees, and if you have a health card and PhilHealth. Many moms suggest to set aside more than the estimates you will see here in case there are unexpected medical complications, which always mean more money.
Again, these figures are based on the moms' individual experiences. Considering the rates that were put forward, a preggo mom should prepare around Php30,000 to Php60,000 for normal deliveries and then Php60,000 to P100,000 and even beyond for CS. It's best to check with your doctor, too, about the hospitals he or she is affiliated with and how much you need to prepare.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCapitol Medical Center in Quezon City
