About a year and a half ago, Karel Marquez and husband Sean Fariñas' dream of having a baby together was short lived when the singer/actress miscarried. On Saturday, November 17, the couple announced that they are pregnant again.
"Super blessed. Our prayers have been answered," the dad-to-be wrote, the first to break the pregnancy news via his Instagram. It was his caption for a video of Karel having her ultrasound.
In the video, the sonologist can be heard pointing out that the fetus's heartbeat is okay. She also said Karel is six weeks and two days into the pregnancy, and that she's due on July 11 of next year. "But of course, you'll deliver via cesarean section, and that will be scheduled by your doctor," the sonologist added.
On the same day, Karel also announced on Instagram that she and Sean are indeed expecting their first baby together.
"Yes, as my husband @sean_farinas confirmed with excitement through his post, I am holding my baby bump now," Karel wrote. "I know I will 'show' even sooner than ever because they say your skin/muscles are more relaxed especially on the third pregnancy so yes, expect to see me big. LOL!" the preggo mom added.

This is actually Karel's fifth pregnancy, including the two miscarriages she suffered from last year. She has two beautiful kids, daughter Keiley and son Kyler, from her previous relationship.
"We aren’t the type to hide something that means SO MUCH to us, even if there are lots of risks, they say. We are happy to make you part of this journey, wherever it will take us," the actress wrote. "We are just thankful to God that we have this moment, now. I mean how can you not be happy seeing a normal looking baby inside you with an amazing heartbeat!" Karel said.
The actress proudly shared that the baby is "locally made." While Karel and Sean traveled to Italy last month, apparently she was already pregnant even before they made the trip.
When Karel finally spoke about her miscarriages in July 2017, she decided to be her best self and focus on family. "Everything happens for a reason. My rainbow baby (a rainbow baby is a baby after you experience a miscarriage) will come. Not now, but one day," she wrote.
