  • Spit up usually happens with every feeding. To avoid excessive spit up, minimize gulping air while feeding, avoid bouncing her after a meal, and burp baby occasionally during feedings. Blood in baby’s spit is mostly caused by the mother’s sore and cracked nipples. Should the baby be bottle-fed however, you should consult the doctor.

    Your baby’s bodily routines are developing rapidly. She will be doing a lot of spitting up, passing gas, peeing, and pooping. So do get ready to clean up often—and have lots of diapers and disposable towels on hand!
